Acitretin, an ingredient in Actoid 25mg Capsule, is a member of the class of medicines called “retinoids”. The skin becomes thick and scaly as a result of a serious skin condition that it is treated with. Psoriasis, ichthyosis and keratosis follicularis are some of these skin conditions. It acts by increasing the specific growth of the skin. Psoriasis causes the outer layer of skin to develop more quickly than normal, resulting in thickened, red, irritated, and inflamed skin.
