Acton OR Tablet SR

Acton-OR Tablet is a member of a class of drugs known as analgesics and antipyretics, which are used to manage mild to moderate pain and low fever. Additionally, it is used to treat arthritis, tooth, back, muscle and menstrual pain, apart from headache, migraine and other types of pain. The body's natural chemicals, such as prostaglandins, which are released, activate pain receptors, resulting in fever and discomfort.

Acton-OR Tablet works by inhibiting the manufacture in the brain of specific chemical messengers called prostaglandins. Due to which the restlessness is reduced. Acton-OR Tablet also affects the hypothalamic thermo-regulating centre, which is an area of the brain that controls body temperature. Hence, it lowers the temperature.

How it works-

By blocking specific enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) involved in the synthesis of pain-causing substances, Acton or tablets reduce pain by increasing the pain threshold. By directly affecting the heat-regulating areas of the brain, it causes vasodilation, sweating and loss of body heat, thereby reducing fever.
