Fenofibrate, which is found in Adilip 135 Tablet DR, is a member of the class of drugs known as fibrates. It aids in lowering triglycerides cholesterol in the blood. Chest pain, atherosclerosis, stroke, heart attack, and other cardiovascular risk factors are frequently linked to a rise in this type of fatty acid. Fenofibrate also raises blood levels of HDL cholesterol. By stimulating the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor alpha receptor, fenofibrate improves lipid homeostasis. It may be combined with other statin-like medications when statins alone are unable to regulate blood fat levels in some cases.

How it works-

By increasing the activity of lipoprotein lipase and decreasing the synthesis of apoprotein C-III, the drug fenofibrate improves lipolysis and eliminates triglyceride-containing particles from plasma. Along with inducing lipolysis and enhancing lipid metabolism, it also triggers the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor alpha receptor, which results in peroxisomes filled with hydrogen peroxide, reactive oxygen species, and some hydroxyl radicals.
