Advent Forte 457 mg syrup is an antibiotic medication that helps treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin and urinary tract. It is able to kill bacteria that have become resistant to other treatments and prevent tuberculosis that is resistant to other treatments.
It contains two drugs: amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin works by destroying the outer protein layer and thereby killing bacteria. Clavulanic acid inhibits the beta-lactamase enzyme, which prevents bacteria from destroying the effectiveness of amoxicillin.
