How it works-

Apresol Plus Tablet contains two medications, isosorbide dinitrate and hydralazine. Isosorbide dinitrate is a nitrate that relaxes blood vessels and lowers the heart's oxygen requirement. Hydralazine is a potassium channel opener that also functions as an antioxidant and reduces tolerance to isosorbide dinitrate, keeping its ability to relax blood vessels. They work together to alleviate the symptoms of heart failure.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Apresol Plus Tablet is maybe not safe to use in pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Apresol Plus Tablet is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

Alcohol use while taking Apresol Plus Tablet may result in flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest discomfort, and low blood pressure (Disulfiram response).

Driving

Apresol Plus Tablet may cause side effects that can affect your drive.

Kidney

Apresol Plus Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.

Liver 

Apresol Plus Tablet is probably safe for use in people with liver impairment. Due to limited data available, dose adjustments may not be necessary in patients with liver disease. Please consult to your physician.
