Atorec 20 Tablet is a member of the statin drug class used to treat high cholesterol levels in the body. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or bad cholesterol, is reduced and high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or good cholesterol, is elevated in the blood while taking Atorec 20 Tablet. Dyslipidaemia is the medical term for the accumulating of dangerous lipid (fat) levels in the blood. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or bad cholesterol), triglycerides (TG), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL, or good cholesterol) levels are always high in this syndrome.

Usage instructions-

• Make sure you take Atorec 20 Tablet in the amount and for as long as your doctor tells you to.  You can have this medicine with food or without.

How it works-

Statin is a type of lipid that is used to reduce cholesterol levels in the body. Statin works by blocking a type of enzyme in the body that is necessary for the production of cholesterol. Statin helps to reduces LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and triglyceride levels, thereby increasing levels of HDL (good) cholesterol.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Atorec 20 Tablet is unsafe during pregnancy since there is clear evidence that it poses harm to the unborn child. Please consult your physician.

Breastfeeding

It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Atorec 20 Tablet. There is limited human data suggesting that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby.

Alcohol

It is recommended to use Atorec 20 Tablet with caution when drinking alcohol. Please consult your physician.

Driving

Atorec 20 Tablet does not affect your drive.

Kidney

It's totally safe for people with kidney disease to take Atorec 20 Tablet. You don't need to change your dose.

Liver 

Atorec 20 Tablet should be taken with caution in people with liver problems.  Atorec 20 Tablet dosage adjustments may be required. Please consult your doctor.
