A class of drugs known as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins) and "sterol absorption inhibitors" includes Atorec EZ Tablet. The main purpose of Atorec EZ Tablet is to treat elevated cholesterol levels. Unhealthy amounts of fats (lipids) are deposited in the blood, resulting in dyslipidaemia (high cholesterol level). Triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL or bad cholesterol), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL or good cholesterol) are constantly present at high levels.

Usage instructions-

• Make sure you take Atorec EZ Tablet in the amount and for as long as your doctor tells you to.  You can have this medicine with food or without.

How it works-

Atorec EZ Tablet consists of a dual combination of two active drugs: Atorvastatin and Ezetimibe. This combination reduces cholesterol levels in the body by blocking the production of LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and increasing levels of HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol). Ezetimibe is an inhibitor of cholesterol absorption, which prevents cholesterol from being absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Together, these two components provide a more effective approach to cholesterol reduction.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Atorec EZ Tablet is unsafe during pregnancy since there is clear evidence that it poses harm to the unborn child. Please consult your physician.

Breastfeeding

It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Atorec EZ Tablet. There is limited human data suggesting that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unsafe to take alcohol with Atorec EZ Tablet.

Driving

Atorec EZ Tablet may make you feel tired and lightheaded, less attentive, or have an impact on your vision. If you have these symptoms, don't drive.

Kidney

It's totally safe for people with kidney disease to take Atorec EZ Tablet. You don't need to change your dose.

Liver 

Atorec EZ Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with liver disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult to your physician.
