Besifloxacin, an ingredient in Besix Eye Drop, is an antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone class of medications. It is used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis in individuals one year of age and older that is brought on by certain susceptible bacteria.
Bacterial conjunctivitis is a form of eye irritation that affects the conjunctiva (the tissue that covers the white of the eye and the inside of the eyelids) and is brought on by either direct contact with an infected person's secretions or by coming into touch with surfaces that are typically but these symptoms have a speciality in the form of blurred vision, burning or irritation, purulent discharge, and redness of the eye.
