Calchek L 2.5 Tablet is a combination of Amlodipine and Lisinopril that belongs to the Antihypertensive agent class of medications. Calchek L 2.5 Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) as well as Prinzmetal or variant angina (chest discomfort). Calchek L 2.5 Tablet can also be used to prevent heart failure and lower the likelihood of hospitalisation in cardiac patients.

• The dose and duration of Calchek L 2.5 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have Calchek L 2.5 Tablet with meals or without.

How it works-

Calchek L 2.5 Tablet is a vasodilator. It relaxes the blood arteries that supply the heart and other organs (such as the kidneys). This enhances blood flow and oxygen delivery to the cardiac muscles, reducing pressure on the heart.

It also permits blood to flow more easily and with less pressure across the blood vessels. It can enhance blood flow to the kidneys, which aids in the improvement of renal function in diabetic patients. As a result, it lowers blood pressure and improves heart and kidney functioning.

Pregnancy

Calchek L 2.5 Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there have been few human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby.  Please consult your physician.

Breastfeeding

Calchek L 2.5 Tablet is safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unsafe to take alcohol with Calchek L 2.5 Tablet.

Driving

Calchek L 2.5 Tablet may cause side effects that can affect your drive.

Kidney
