Chlorthalidone and Cilnidipine together make up CTD C 12.5/10 Tablet, a medication from the class of drugs known as antihypertensive medications. It is works to manage primary hypertension. Hypertension, commonly referred to as high blood pressure, is a disorder when the pressure in the blood vessels is consistently elevated. The blood vessels carry it from the heart to all the different parts of the body. The heart pumps blood into the vessels with each beat. Blood pressure is created when the heart pumps blood against the walls of blood vessels (arteries). The heart needs to work more to pump blood when the pressure is higher.
Usage instructions-
- The dose and duration of CTD C 12.5/10 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have this drug with food.
How it works-
CTD C 12.5/10 Tablet effectively lowers blood pressure by increasing excretion of sodium (which is required for blood vessel constriction) and water from the body, causing blood vessels to relax, and Cilnidipine relaxes blood vessels and thus lowers blood pressure by blocking calcium entry in blood vessels, which is required for smooth muscle contraction.
Safety information-
Pregnancy
CTD C 12.5/10 Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there have been few human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby. Please consult your physician.
Breastfeeding

Alcohol
It is may cause excessive drowsiness to take alcohol with CTD C 12.5/10 Tablet.
Driving
