CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER includes antihypertensive medications such as chlorthalidone, telmisartan, and metoprolol. CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER is prescribed to patients who have essential hypertension and stable coronary artery disease. Essential hypertension refers to high blood pressure that is not induced by another ailment.

Early morning headaches, nosebleeds, an irregular heartbeat, visual changes, buzzing in the ears, weariness (feeling overtired), nausea, vomiting, disorientation, anxiety, chest discomfort, and muscular tremors (shakiness) are all symptoms of essential hypertension. Stable coronary artery disease is described by chest pain, discomfort, tightness, and pressure and is caused by any obstruction in the heart's blood channels induced by physical effort.

Usage instructions-

The dose and duration of CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have this drug with meals or without.

How it works-

CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER effectively lowers blood pressure and heart workload, with Chlorthalidone acting by increasing sodium and water excretion and Telmisartan acting by blocking the effects of Angiotensin II (a substance produced in your body that causes blood vessel narrowing). Metoprolol works by inhibiting beta-1 receptors and decreasing the impact of stress hormones in the heart, resulting in a lower heart rate and blood pressure.

 Safety information-

Pregnancy

CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there have been few human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby.  Please consult your physician.

Breastfeeding

CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unsafe to take alcohol with CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER.

Driving

CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.

Kidney

CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER should be administered with caution to patients with kidney issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CTD MT 12.5/25/40 Tablet ER should be administered with caution to patients with liver issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
