CTD T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet is an antihypertensive medication that contains the active drugs chlorthalidone, amlodipine, and telmisartan. Adults are prescribed CTD T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet to treat essential hypertension. When you have excessively high blood pressure that is not caused by a medical disease, you have essential hypertension (primary hypertension). Symptoms include blurred vision, severe headache, chest discomfort, dizziness, light-headedness, and nosebleeds.
Usage instructions-
- The dose and duration of CTD T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have this drug with food.
How it works-
CTD T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet helps to reduce high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow to the heart muscles, and chlorthalidone works by increasing the amount of urine produced by the kidneys to promote the excretion of excess fluid and certain electrolytes (such as sodium and chloride) from the body. Telmisartan works by relaxing blood vessels by blocking the binding of a chemical called angiotensin-II (a substance generated in the body that promotes blood vessel constriction). All of these activities, when combined, successfully reduce excessive blood pressure.
