Dabigat 110 Capsule belongs to a class of medications known as anticoagulants or blood thinners, which are used to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heart rhythm) by preventing blood clot formation. Aside from that, Dabigat 110 Capsule is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in the leg veins), pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lung), and to lower the risk of clots in persons who have had knee or hip replacement surgery.
Dabigat 110 Capsule includes Dabigatran etexilate, which inhibits the synthesis of coagulation factor Xa, generally known as thrombin. This stops the conversion of fibrinogen (soluble protein) to fibrin (insoluble protein), preventing the development of blood clots.

Dabigat 110 Capsule is an anticoagulant. Although it does not "dissolve" blood clots, it can keep them from growing larger, allowing your body to dissolve them over time. Dabigat 110 Capsule will also prevent new ones from developing. It acts by inhibiting a chemical in the body that is involved in blood coagulation. This keeps your blood moving smoothly throughout your body and reduces the chances of a clot forming inside a blood vessel. This can help prevent or decrease the damage caused by stroke, clots in your lungs (pulmonary embolism), or other blood vessels (thrombosis). It may also reduce the chance of clot fragments traveling to other areas of the body.
