Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER is a combination of Dapagliflozin and Metformin, both of which are anti-diabetic medications. When other medications fail to treat type 2 diabetes, it is taken in conjunction with diet and exercise. It is sometimes used in conjunction with liraglutide, an insulin or GLP-1 receptor agonist. 

Before treatment, your doctor may request that you undergo a series of blood tests to better evaluate your current kidney status. Alcohol should be avoided when taking Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER since it may raise the risk of lactic acidosis. Taking Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER daily, coupled with a balanced diet and exercise, will allow you to live a normal, healthy life. You should continue to use it for as long as it is prescribed.

• Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER is used according to your doctor’s instructions. With food, you can take a Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER. Don’t chew, crush, or break it.

How it works-

Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER decreases blood glucose levels. Dapagliflozin works by eliminating excess sugar from the body through urine, whilst Metformin works by preventing glucose synthesis in the liver.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER is probably not safe to use during pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER. Limited human data suggests that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby. Please consult your doctor.

Alcohol

It is not safe to take alcohol with Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER.

Driving

If you have too high or too low blood sugar, it could affect your ability to drive. If you experience these symptoms, don't drive.

Kidney

Dapnat M 10/1000 Tablet ER should be administered with caution to patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.

Liver
