Difpru Ophthalmic Emulsion is a kind of medication known as a steroid. Difpru Ophthalmic Emulsion is used to alleviate post-operative ocular discomfort and inflammation. It is also used to treat eye discomfort and edema caused by an infection or allergy.

How it works-

Difpru Ophthalmic Emulsion is an anti-inflammatory topical steroid. It works by blocking the release of natural substances that produce pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye.

Pregnancy

Difpru Ophthalmic Emulsion should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there have been few human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby.  Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Difpru Ophthalmic Emulsion is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Place pressure on the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more to decrease the amount of Difpru Ophthalmic Emulsion that enters the breastmilk, than remove the surplus solution with an absorbent tissue.
