Diof DS Suspension 60 mL is an antibacterial (ofloxacin) and anti-amoebic (metronidazole) combination used to treat bacterial infections and amoebic dysentery. A bacterial infection is a condition where harmful bacteria enter our body, multiply and contaminate it. It can target any part of the body and several very quickly. Amoebic dysentery can be caused by Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, or Clostridium difficile.

Diof DS Suspension 60 ml is a combination of two antibiotics containing ofloxacin and metronidazole. Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial cell division. It also prevents bacterial cells from healing. Both actions lead to the killing of bacteria. Metronidazole is an antibiotic that kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections. It works by damaging their DNA.
