Phenytoin, which is an anti-epileptic drug, is a component of Eptoin oral suspension. It is used to treat some types of epilepsy during or after brain surgery or serious head trauma. Electroencephalograms (EEGs) can be used to identify electrical activity abnormalities that occur during seizures, which are caused by the over-discharge of certain nerve cells. Trigeminal neuralgia can also be treated with Eptoin oral suspension.
