Erophylline AC 100Mg/600Mg Tablet consists of two drugs: Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine. Acebrophylline is a bronchodilator with mucolytic effects that acts by relaxing muscles and expanding the airways of the lungs. Acetylcysteine is a mucolytic drug (cough/sputum thinner) that thins and loosens mucus in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. The acid mucopolysaccharide fibers in Erophylline AC 100Mg/600Mg Tablet are broken down, making the mucus (sputum) thinner and less dense/viscous, allowing coughing to effectively remove sputum. Sputum viscosity, on the other hand, stays low as long as therapy is continued. They work together to make coughing easier and breathing better by opening airways.
