A class of medications known as gastrointestinal agents that are used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) includes Esokem L Capsule SR. When stomach acid repeatedly backs up into the food pipe (oesophagus), it produces gastroesophageal reflux disease. This results in acidity, discomfort, and heartburn. Heartburn, a sour or bitter aftertaste, and swallowing issues are all symptoms.

How It Works-

Levosulpiride and esomeprazole are the two medications included in Esokem-L Capsule SR. The prokinetic drug levosulpiride increases the release of the chemical messenger acetylcholine. This promotes digestion and avoids reflux (acid rising into the food pipe). Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) include esomeprazole. It functions by lowering the quantity of stomach acid, which relieves acid-related indigestion and ulcers.
