Gliclazide, a member of the class of drugs known as antidiabetic agents, is included in Euclide 60mg Tablet XR. When diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications alone have not sufficiently reacted, it is used to treat type II diabetes mellitus in adults. Type II diabetes mellitus is a chronic condition characterised by unusually high blood glucose levels. Either inadequate insulin production—a hormone the pancreas produces to help the body process glucose—or insufficient insulin sensitivity in the body's cells to blame.
