- Read the pack carefully and use as directed by your doctor.
How it works-
Glimepiride, Metformin, and Pioglitazone are the three anti-diabetic drugs included in the Formin PG 1 Tablet SR. When one therapy or a combination of therapies is ineffective, they function through several ways to offer improved blood sugar management. Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea, reduces blood sugar by increasing the amount of insulin the pancreas secretes. It is a biguanide, metformin. It works by decreasing the amount of glucose the liver can make, lowering the rate at which glucose is absorbed by the intestines, and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Pioglitazone, a thiazolidinedione, enhances insulin sensitivity even further.

The Formin PG 1 Tablet SR comprises Metformin, Glimepiride, and Pioglitazone. When a single or double course of hypoglycemic medication is ineffective, diabetic patients are administered Formin PG 1 Tablet SR. Intestinal and hepatic glucose uptake are decreased by metformin's action. In order to exert its effects, glimepiride causes the pancreas to secrete more insulin. The mechanism of action of pioglitazone is to decrease the amount of glucose produced by the liver and to increase the sensitivity of muscle and fat to insulin.
