For the Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Gemer 2 Tablet contains Glimepiride and Metformin, both of which are used to treat type 2 diabetes. Glimepiride stimulates cells in the pancreas that produce insulin, which helps in the removal of sugar from the blood. Metformin PR is a prolonged-release formulation that releases the drug in smaller doses over a longer period of time. Metformin reduces sugar production by liver cells and delays sugar absorption from the intestines. It also increases the sensitivity of muscle cells to insulin, allowing them to remove sugar from the blood more effectively.
