How It Works
Glimestar-PM2 Tablet ER contains three antidiabetic medicines including glimepiride, metformin, and pioglitazone. They work through various mechanisms to improve blood sugar control when single or dual therapy is ineffective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that lowers blood glucose by increasing pancreatic insulin release. Metformin is a biguanide that works by decreasing the production of glucose in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from the intestines, and increasing insulin sensitivity in the body. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione that boosts insulin sensitivity.

For the Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Glimestar-PM2 Tablet ER helps control high blood sugar levels. It helps eliminate excess glucose from the body through urine. It also improves the body’s response to the hormone insulin, which is in charge of regulating our blood glucose levels. Insulin helps lower blood glucose levels and prevent them from rising after meals. If you can keep your blood sugar under control, you will be less likely to develop serious diabetes complications such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems, and limb loss.
