Glipy Tablet is a member of the "Dipeptidyl Peptidase 4 (DPP-4)" inhibitor class of anti-diabetic medications used to treat type 2 diabetes, particularly in people whose blood glucose levels are solely managed by diet and not by exercise. Glipy Tablet can be used either on its own or in conjunction with other drugs. Type 2 diabetes affects how our bodies metabolise glucose and is a chronic (long-lasting) disorder. In type 2 diabetes, the body either does not create enough insulin or is unable to use it (insulin resistance). The majority of people with type 2 diabetes, often known as adult-onset diabetes, are in their middle or later years.
Usage instructions-
- Read the pack carefully and use as directed by your doctor.
How it works-
Metformin and Vildagliptin are the two anti-diabetic drugs included in the Glipy Tablet. Biguanide, an anti-diabetic drug, is metformin. It works by decreasing the amount of glucose the liver can make, lowering the rate at which glucose is absorbed by the intestines, and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Vildagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, reduces hormones that raise blood sugar levels while simultaneously promoting pancreatic insulin release. This decreases blood sugar levels both after meals and when fasting. They provide better blood sugar management when used together.
