Metformin, glimepiride, and pioglitazone are all ingredients in Glisen PM 2 Tablet ER. When single or double hypoglycemic agent treatment is ineffective in diabetic individuals, Glisen PM 2 Tablet ER is administered. Metformin acts by lowering intestinal glucose absorption and hepatic glucose synthesis. Glimepiride works by boosting the pancreas' production of insulin. Pioglitazone works by decreasing the amount of glucose that the liver releases and by enhancing the muscle and fat tissues' sensitivity to insulin.
