Glucomust PM Tablet ER belongs to the class of drugs known as 'anti-diabetic agents,' which are used to treat Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a long-term disorder in which blood sugar or glucose levels grow above normal. It happens when the body does not create enough insulin (which metabolizes glucose) or when the insulin produced is ineffective in the body.

How it works-
Glucomust PM Tablet ER reduces blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of insulin hormone, which controls blood sugar levels. Metformin lowers glucose synthesis in the liver (gluconeogenesis) and enhances insulin sensitivity to absorb blood sugar. Pioglitazone makes liver and muscle cells more sensitive to insulin, making it easier for sugar in the blood to enter the cells. All of these strategies work together to keep blood sugar levels stable in people with type 2 diabetes.

Pregnancy

Breastfeeding

Alcohol

Glibenclamide, Metformin, and Pioglitazone are the three medications contained in Glucomust PM Tablet ER. Glibenclamide stimulates insulin synthesis by acting on the pancreas. Metformin works by lowering both liver and intestine glucose production. Pioglitazone reduces the amount of glucose produced by the liver while increasing the sensitivity of muscle and fat tissues to insulin actions. Together with the prescribed diet and activity, Glucomust PM Tablet ER reduces raised blood sugar levels after meals.
