The dermatological compounds that make up Halobet ES Ointment 30 gm are primarily used to treat skin conditions including psoriasis and eczema. Eczema is a disorder in which irritants like soap, dye, or other external substances cause the skin to become red, itchy, and inflamed. Itchy, scaly, and swollen skin are symptoms of the autoimmune skin condition psoriasis, in which the immune system assaults healthy cells.

How it works-
The mechanism of action of Halobet ES Ointment (30Gm) is the induction of lipocortins, which are inflammatory enzymes that lead to a reduction in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which in turn inhibits the release of arachidonic acid, the hormone that causes the inflammatory process in the skin and somewhat alleviates the symptoms. Redness, swelling, and itching are all present.

Salicylic Acid and Halobetasol are two medications included in Halobet ES Ointment 30 gm. Halobetasol is a corticosteroid that also has actions against inflammation, immunity, and antiproliferative (inhibits cell growth). It prevents itching, swelling, and redness of the skin. Halobetasol is more readily absorbed when salicylic acid is present. It is a keratolytic drug that breaks down keratin flakes, exfoliates dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It also separates and peels off the stratum corneum of the skin. Additionally, it functions as a topical antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.
