Lactoclaav DS Dry Syrup is an antibiotic that treats bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary system. It is capable of eliminating germs that have been resistant to other medicines, and so aids in the treatment of TB that has become resistant previous treatments.
Usage instructions-
- Use as directed by your doctor.
How It Works-
Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid are both included in Lactoclaav DS Dry Syrup. An antibiotic is amoxycillin. It acts by blocking the production of the bacterial protective layer, which bacteria require to survive. A beta-lactamase inhibitor known as clavulanic acid increases the antibacterial effectiveness of amoxycillin while reducing resistance.
Safety information-
Kidney
Lactoclaav DS Dry Syrup should be used cautiously in patients with kidney impairment. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
Liver
Lactoclaav DS Dry Syrup should be used cautiously in patients with liver impairment. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
- The pathogenic germs in multidrug-resistant TB generate an enzyme called beta-lactamase.
- This enzyme degrades antibiotics, rendering them useless.
- The germs become resistant to the antibiotics used to treat them as a result.
- Amoxycillin and clavulanic acid are the active components in Lactoclaav DS Dry Syrup.
- While clavulanic acid prevents the enzyme from rendering amoxycillin ineffective, amoxycillin acts to kill the bacterium that causes TB.
- As a result, the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid is an effective therapy for TB.
- Lactoclaav DS Dry Syrup includes two separate medications, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, which work together to destroy the germs that cause illnesses. Amoxycillin acts by inhibiting bacterial growth.
- Clavulanic Acid decreases resistance and increases Amoxycillin activity.
