Licotar 100 Tablet is an anticonvulsant medication that is primarily used to treat focal (partial) seizures in adults and children four years of age and older. Focal or partial-onset seizures are distinguished by aberrant electrical activity in only one part of the brain. Lacosamide, included in Licotar 100 Tablet, is used to treat seizures by lowering chaotic electrical activity in the brain.
Licotar 100 Tablet is used either alone or in conjunction with other antiepileptic medications. Licotar 100 Tablet should be used at the dose and period prescribed by your doctor. You may have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, confusion, and dizziness, uncontrolled movement of the eye, blurred vision, double vision (diplopia), mood disorders, itching, tremors, exhaustion, and difficulty walking in certain situations.
Usage instructions-
- Licotar 100 Tablet used as directed by your doctor’s instructions. With food or without, you can take Licotar 100 Tablet.

Safety information-
Pregnancy
Licotar 100 Tablet is probably not safe to use during pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding
It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Licotar 100 Tablet. Limited human data suggests that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby. Please consult your doctor.
Alcohol
It is recommended to use Licotar 100 Tablet with caution when drinking alcohol. Please consult your physician.
Driving
Licotar 100 Tablet may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.
Kidney
Licotar 100 Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with kidney issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Licotar 100 Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with liver issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor. Licotar 100 Tablet is not recommended for severe liver patients.
- Licotar 100 Tablet is an anticonvulsant (or anti-epileptic) medication that acts by reducing the nerve impulses that cause seizures. Controlling the frequency of seizures can allow you to go about your regular activities with more confidence. Licotar 100 Tablet alleviates symptoms such as confusion, uncontrolled jerking movements, loss of consciousness, and fear or anxiety.
- Licotar 100 Tablet is not related to any physical or psychological addiction, but it should not be abruptly discontinued. To be effective, it must be taken regularly as directed. Missed dosages may cause a seizure.
