Malirid DS Tablet belongs to the 'anti-malarials' class, which is principally used to treat malaria. A plasmodium parasite-borne illness spread by the bite of infected mosquitos. Malaria severity varies according to plasmodium species. Chills, fever, and sweating are common symptoms that appear a few weeks after being bitten. People who go to malaria-endemic areas often take preventative medications before, during, and after their journey.

How it works-
Malirid DS Tablet works by boosting haeme levels in the blood, which is poisonous to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and prevents the illness from progressing further. Malirid DS Tablet is therefore used to prevent relapses of malaria caused by Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium ovale parasite strains.
Safety information-
Pregnancy
Malirid DS Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there have been few human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby. Please consult your physician.
Breastfeeding
It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Malirid DS Tablet. There is limited human data suggesting that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby.
Alcohol
It is not safe to consume alcohol with Malirid DS Tablet.
Driving
Malirid DS Tablet may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.
Kidney
