Mefast P Suspension is recommended for the treatment of fever in children. Mefast P Suspension is also used to treat mild to severe pain, including headaches, toothaches, joint or muscular discomfort, and menstrual cramps. Mefast P Suspension contains Mefenamic acid and Paracetamol, and it is classified as a Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug (NSAID) and analgesic/antipyretic. Mefast P Suspension is not indicated for people who have asthma or aspirin-sensitive asthma, or who have significant liver, renal, or cardiac illness.

How it works-

Paracetamol helps to relieve fever and pain by acting on the hypothalamus (heat-regulating center) of the brain, resulting in peripheral vasodilation, sweating, and loss of body heat; Mefenamic acid functions by suppressing COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, which are involved in prostaglandin production (responsible for pain and inflammation), and it also raises the pain threshold by doing so.
