Mefkind Forte Tablet is a combination of Mefenamic acid and Paracetamol that belongs to the Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) and Analgesics and antipyretics class of medications. Mefkind Forte Tablet is used to relieve fever. Mefkind Forte Tablet is also used to treat mild to severe pain, such as headaches, toothaches, joint or muscular problems, and menstrual cramps.

How it works-

Mefkind Forte Tablet reduces fever and pain by acting on the hypothalamus, the brain's heat-regulating centre, which causes peripheral vasodilation, perspiration, and a loss of body heat. It also raises the threshold for pain by blocking COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, which are involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins, which is what causes pain and inflammation.

Mefkind Forte Tablet is probably not safe to use during pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

It is safe to breastfeed with the Mefkind Forte Tablet. According to human studies, the drug does not enter the breast milk in large amounts and is not harmful to the baby.

Alcohol

It is not safe to consume alcohol with the Mefkind Forte Tablet.

Driving

Mefkind Forte Tablet may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.
