Met XL Am Tablet is a combination medication used to treat hypertension and angina pectoris (chest discomfort caused by a decrease in blood flow to the heart). Its active components are amlodipine and metoprolol. It is also used to treat coronary heart disease (a cardiac disorder in which the blood channels that deliver blood to the heart muscle constrict). It operates via the combined effect of its two ingredients to relax blood vessels, enhance blood flow, and so reduce blood pressure.

How it works-
Met XL AM 25/2.5 Tablet is a combination of two blood pressure-lowering medications, amlodipine and metoprolol. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, whereas metoprolol is a beta blocker that works particularly on the heart to slow it down. Together, they increase the heart's ability to circulate blood more effectively throughout the body.

Met XL AM 25/2.5 Tablet contains two medications. Both medications reduce blood pressure, although in distinct ways.
