How it works-

Metoprolol and ramipril are the two medications found in Met XL R 25Mg/2.5Mg Tablet. It is a beta-blocker, metoprolol. It prevents the body from responding to certain substances (like adrenaline) that raise blood pressure and heart rate. A common ACE inhibitor is ramipril. It prevents the body's natural enzymes from constricting blood vessels and raising blood pressure, including the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). When adrenaline and ACEs are blocked together, the heart is less stressed and the blood arteries feeding the heart and kidneys are relaxed, which improves blood flow and oxygen delivery, lowers blood pressure, and improves kidney function. Less harm is done.
