Met XL R 50/5 Tablet is a combination drug that is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It functions by widening the blood vessels, which improves how effectively the heart pumps blood throughout the body. It also flushes the body of extra water and electrolytes.

How it works-
Met XL R 50/5 Tablet is a combination of two blood pressure-lowering medications, amlodipine and metoprolol. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, whereas metoprolol is a beta blocker that works particularly on the heart to slow it down. Together, they increase the heart's ability to circulate blood more effectively throughout the body.
