Microcef 100 Oral Suspension belongs to a class of antibiotics known as Cephalosporins, which are used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, lower respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infections are caused by the growth of dangerous bacteria within or on the body. Microcef 100 Oral Suspension is ineffective against viral illnesses such as colds and flu.
Give your child Microcef 100 Oral Suspension an hour before or two hours after meals. If your kid experiences a stomach upset problem, give it with meals. Make careful to stick to the suggested amount because it is calculated based on the kind of infection, its severity, and your child's age and body weight. If your child gags and vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medication, repeat the same dose but do not double the dose if it is time for the following dose.
Do not give this drug to your child if they have cold or flu symptoms because it is an antibiotic and will not treat viral infections. Doctors only administer this medication for cough and cold when they suspect a subsequent bacterial infection.
