Monotrate SR 30 Tablet includes Isosorbide Mononitrate, which is a kind of medication known as a nitrate vasodilator. Monotrate SR 30 Tablet is used to treat chronic angina pectoris and should not be used to treat sudden or acute angina. Angina pectoris is characterized as a sudden, intense, severe pain that radiates from the apex of the heart to the left shoulder. The pain is strong and crushing, with a sense of pressure and suffocation behind the breastbone.       

Usage instructions-

• The dose and duration of Monotrate SR 30 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have this drug with meals or without.

How it works-

Monotrate SR 30 Tablet relaxes the blood vessels and heart muscles, causing the space inside the blood vessels to expand. This improves blood flow in the heart's blood arteries and alleviates the discomfort associated with artery obstruction, as observed in angina.

Pregnancy

Monotrate SR 30 Tablet is maybe not safe to use in pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Alcohol

While using Monotrate SR 30 Tablet, drinking alcohol may produce flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest discomfort, and low blood pressure (Disulfiram response).

Driving

Monotrate SR 30 Tablet may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.

 Kidney

It is safe for people with kidney disease to take Monotrate SR 30 Tablet. You don't need to change your dose.

Liver

Monotrate SR 30 Tablet is probably safe for use in people with liver impairment. Due to limited data available, dose adjustments may not be necessary in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
