Nifutin Tablet SR contains the antibiotic Nitrofurantoin, which aids in the treatment and prevention of a wide range of bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections (UTIs), bladder infections (cystitis), and kidney infections caused by most susceptible bacteria (susceptible strains of E. coli, Enterococcus, staphylococci, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, and Enterobacter). It is bactericidal in nature and works by blocking the production of the cell wall essential for survival, therefore eliminating bacteria that cause illnesses. It also prevents bacterial cell repair. Overall, it destroys the germs.
