Nukast 10 Tablet is classified as an antihistamine or anti-allergic. Nukast 10 Tablet cures sneezing, runny noses, and allergic skin disorders caused by allergies and hay fever (seasonal allergy). An allergy is an immune system response to foreign substances that are usually harmless to your body. These alien components are called 'allergens.' Allergic conditions differ from person to person. Usage instructions-
- Take Nukast 10 Tablet according to your doctor’s instructions. With meals or without meals, you can take a Nukast 10 Tablet.
How it works-
Nukast 10 Tablet is a mixture of anti-allergic medications, namely Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Levocetirizine inhibits the effects of a chemical messenger called 'histamine,' which is normally implicated in allergic responses. It relieves allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, congestion, and stiffness. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist that inhibits a chemical messenger (leukotriene) while reducing nasal irritation and edema. Together, they assist to alleviate and reduce allergy symptoms.
Safety information-
Pregnancy
Nukast 10 Tablet is safe to use during pregnancy. Studies in animals have shown minimal or no adverse effects on the developing baby. However, limited human studies are available. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding
It is not safe to breastfeed with a Nukast 10 Tablet. There is evidence that the drug might cause harm to the baby.
Alcohol
It is recommended to use the Nukast 10 Tablet with caution when drinking alcohol. Please consult your physician.
Driving
Nukast 10 Tablet may reduce your alertness, impair your vision, or cause drowsiness and dizziness. If you face any of these symptoms please don’t drive.
Kidney
Nukast 10 Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
Nukast 10 Tablet is not recommended for severe kidney disease patients.
Liver
