Olsivir Capsule is an antiviral medication used to treat and prevent flu and swine flu (H1N1 virus). Olsivir Capsule alleviates flu-like symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, body pains, weariness, headache, fever, and chills.

Usage instructions-

• The dose and duration of Olsivir Capsule should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have this drug with food.

How it works-

Olsivir Capsule inhibits neuraminidase. It inhibits neuraminidase (an influenza virus enzyme), which allows viruses to enter uninfected cells of the body and produce or spread influenza illness. This is how it fights the virus and treats influenza (flu).

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Olsivir Capsule is probably not safe to use in pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Olsivir Capsule is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unknown whether it is safe or not to take alcohol with Olsivir Capsule.

Driving

Olsivir Capsule does not affect your drive.

Kidney

Olsivir Capsule should be taken with caution in people with kidney disease. Olsivir Capsule dosage adjustments may be required. Please consult your doctor.

Liver
