Omen CT 40 Tablet is a combination of Chlorthalidone and Olmesartan, which are Thiazide diuretics and Angiotensin-II receptor antagonists, respectively. Omen CT 40 Tablet is prescribed to treat essential hypertension.

Usage instructions-

• Omen CT 40 Tablet is used as directed by your doctor. With food or without, you can take Omen CT 40 Tablet.

How it works-

Omen CT 40 Tablet effectively reduces high blood pressure by blocking the actions of Angiotensin II (a substance that causes blood vessel narrowing and increases blood pressure) at the angiotensin type-I receptors of vascular smooth muscle and chlorthalidone acts by increasing urinary excretion of sodium and water by inhibiting sodium-chloride reabsorption in the kidneys, resulting in a significant decrease in blood pressure.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Omen CT 40 Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there has been not much human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby. Please consult your physician.

Breastfeeding

It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Omen CT 40 Tablet. Limited human data suggests that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby.

Alcohol

It may cause excessive drowsiness if you take alcohol with Omen CT 40 Tablet.

Driving

Omen CT 40 Tablet may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.

Kidney

Omen CT 40 Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
