How It Works-

An inorganic salt called aluminium hydroxide balances out excess stomach acid. An antifoaming medication called dimethicone breaks up gas bubbles so that the gas can flow more readily. A laxative known as milk of magnesia works by osmosis to suck water into the intestines, softening and making faeces easier to pass.
