Pause 500 Tablet belongs to a class of pharmaceuticals known as 'anti-fibrinolytic drugs,' which are used to treat abnormal or undesired bleeding. Pause 500 Tablet is used to treat heavy periods (menorrhagia), nose bleeds (epistaxis), cervical surgery (cervical conization), prostate surgery (post-prostatectomy), bladder surgery (post-cystectomy), bleeding inside the eye (traumatic hyphaema), and angioneurotic edema (HANO). In haemophiliacs (those who bleed more easily than usual), the solution version of this drug is administered prior to tooth removal (dental extraction).

How it works-

Pause 500 Tablet works by blocking the clotting of blood to reduce excessive bleeding during menstruation or post-surgical bleeding. It is an anti-fibrinolytic medicine.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Pause 500 Tablet is safe to use during pregnancy. Studies in animals have shown minimal or no adverse effects on the developing baby. However, limited human studies are available.

Breastfeeding

Pause 500 Tablet is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

It may cause excessive drowsiness to take alcohol with Pause 500 Tablet.

Driving

Pause 500 Tablet does not affect your drive.

Kidney

Pause 500 Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your physician.

Liver 

Pause 500 Tablet is probably safe for use in people with liver disease. Due to limited data available, dose adjustments may not be necessary in patients with liver disease. Please consult to your physician.
