Pause MF Tablet is a multi-drug treatment for dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) and menorrhagia (excessive menstrual bleeding). Pause MF Tablet is also used to treat extreme blood loss, edema in various sections of the body, fever, inflammation, and migraine headaches. Menstrual cramps, commonly known as dysmenorrhea, are cramps and discomfort that occur during menstruation. Menorrhagia is a disorder characterized by excessively heavy or extended menstrual flow.

Usage instructions-

• Make sure you take Pause MF Tablet in the amount and for as long as your doctor tells you to.  You can have this drug with food.

How it works-

Pause MF Tablet contains two medications: Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid. Tranexamic acid has anti-fibrinolytic properties. To decrease heavy bleeding during periods, it acts by inhibiting the disintegration of blood clots. Mefenamic acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the generation of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that induce pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Pause MF Tablet is probably not safe to use in pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Pause MF Tablet is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unsafe to take alcohol with Pause MF Tablet.

Driving

Pause MF Tablet may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you tired and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.

Kidney

Pause MF Tablet should be taken with caution in people with kidney disease.  Pause MF Tablet dosage adjustments may be required. Please consult your doctor.

Liver 

Pause MF Tablet is probably safe for use in people with liver disease. Due to limited data available, dose adjustments may not be necessary in patients with liver disease. Please consult to your physician.
