Piohope 15 Tablet includes Pioglitazone, which belongs to the class of drugs known as anti-diabetic medications. Piohope 15 Tablet is used to treat type II diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and other first-line oral anti-diabetic medications (such as metformin) do not provide a sufficient response.

Diabetes mellitus type II is a chronic condition characterized by unusually high blood glucose levels. It is caused by insufficient synthesis of the hormone insulin (made by the pancreas to metabolize glucose) in the body or by insufficient sensitivity of body cells to the activities of insulin.

• The dose and duration of Piohope 15 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have Piohope 15 Tablet with meals or without.

How it works-

Piohope 15 Tablet regulates blood sugar levels well. Piohope 15 Tablet includes Pioglitazone, a PPAR-gamma and PPAR-alpha agonist. Following ingestion, it stimulates certain receptors in the body (PPAR-gamma and PPAR-alpha) involved in glucose metabolism. This causes our bodies to use insulin to break down the circulating blood glucose, lowering blood sugar levels. Furthermore, Piohope 15 Tablet can minimize the amount of glucose generated by the liver.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Piohope 15 Tablet is probably not safe to use during pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Piohope 15 Tablet should be taken with caution when breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be stopped until the mother's therapy is finished and the medication has been cleared from her body.

Alcohol

It is not safe to consume alcohol with Piohope 15 Tablet.

Driving

Piohope 15 Tablet does not affect your drive.

Kidney

It is safe for people with kidney disease to take Piohope 15 Tablet. You don't need to change your dose.

Liver

Piohope 15 Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with liver issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
