Primodil AT Tablet is an 'anti-hypertensive' drug that is primarily used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a chronic or permanent disease in which the blood pressure against the arterial walls becomes excessively high. This can result in blood vessel damage, heart disease, stroke, renal disease, and other complications.

Usage instructions-

• Primodil AT Tablet is used as directed by your doctor. On an empty stomach, you can take Primodil AT Tablet.

How it works-

Primodil AT Tablet is made up of two medications: Amlodipine and Atenolol. Atenolol inhibits the action of some hormones (adrenaline) in the body that increase heart rate naturally. This causes the heart to beat slower and pump blood with less effort. Amlodipine works as a vasodilator. It relaxes the blood arteries that feed the heart, increasing blood flow and oxygen delivery to the cardiac muscles. They work together to alleviate cardiac strain and enhance heart function.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Primodil AT Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there has been not much human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby.  Please consult your physician.

Breastfeeding

It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Primodil AT Tablet. Limited human data suggests that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unsafe to take alcohol with Primodil AT Tablet.

Driving

Primodil AT Tablet may cause side effects that can affect your drive.

Kidney

Primodil AT Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with kidney issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

Primodil AT Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with liver issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
