Redotil Sachet is part of a class of drugs known as anti-diarrheals. Anti-diarrheals are used to treat acute (short term) diarrhea in adults and babies over the age of 3 months. Redotil Sachet can be used as an add-on treatment when acute diarrhea can’t be treated on its own. Acute diarrhea is when there’s a sudden increase in the number of stools over 3 or more per day for a minimum of 14 days.
Usage instructions-
Make sure you take Redotil Sachet in the amount and for as long as your doctor tells you to. You should have this drug with food.
How It Works-
The active ingredient in Redotil Sachet is anti-secretory. This means that it decreases the amount of water and electrolyte excretion from the intestinal tract. This reduces the amount of fluid lost from the body during diarrhea

- Redotil Sachet is used to treat acute diarrhea in adults and kids over 3 months of age. It is a part of a group of drugs called 'oral enzymes inhibitors' which are also used to treat diarrhea.
- Redotil Sachet should be used in conjunction with dietary changes and plenty of fluids as a supplementary therapy when diarrhea cannot be handled casually.
- Redotil Sachet is a pro-drug that degrades into thiorphan (the active form) and acts by reducing the quantity of salts and water produced into the colon, resulting in less watery stools.
- As a result, it aids in the control of diarrhea without interfering with the change in bowel movement timing.
