Cough syrup is treated with Reswas syrup. Levodropropizine and chlorpheniramine are combined in it. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic medication that soothes allergy symptoms such as throat and nasal irritation, sneezing, runny nose, etc. Levodropropizine, however, works as a cough reducer. These two medications both relieve dry cough.

How it works-

Ambroxol, a mucolytic agent, increases mucus volume and reduces viscosity to aid in mucus clearing. It eases effective coughing and encourages expectoration. An expectorant, guaiphenesin helps in vomiting out mucus by lowering the viscosity of lung secretions. Levosalbutamol, a beta agonist, stimulates specific beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, allowing smooth muscle to relax and opening the airways for simple breathing. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Together, they enable congested patients to breathe easily and profoundly.
