Rifaximax Suspension is used to treat infectious diarrhea in both adults and children (aged two years or older). Rifaximax Suspension includes Rifaximin, which is an antibiotic drug. Rifaximin is an intestinal antibiotic. It kills the susceptible bacteria that cause illness by inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes essential for the bacterium's existence. As a result, it inhibits the growth and proliferation of dangerous bacteria in the stomach, preventing diarrhea.

Infectious diarrhea is defined by the abrupt appearance of loose or watery stools produced by dangerous germs in the digestive tract. Rifaximax Suspension treats infectious diarrhea by targeting and inhibiting the development of dangerous bacteria in the intestines. Rifaximax Suspension inhibits the bacteria's capacity to produce key proteins required for survival and reproduction. This helps to eliminate the nasty bacteria that are causing the infection, which lowers the diarrhea and makes you feel better.
