Tacrolimus, an anti-immunosuppressant drug, is an ingredient in Talimus Ointment. When other conventional therapies have not yielded satisfactory results, it is used to treat and prevent moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). An allergic skin disorder called atopic dermatitis causes itchy, red, dry, and irritated skin. Small, raised pimples with pus on the skin, intense itching, redness, and swelling are its defining features. Talimus Ointment (5Gm) is safe to use on both adults and kids (who are at least 16 years old). The afflicted skin regions should be covered with a thin layer of Talimus Ointment.
Usage instructions-
- Read the pack carefully and use as directed by your doctor.
How it works-
An immunosuppressant is Talimus Ointment. It functions by preventing the body's production of certain molecules (such T-cells) that lead to allergic and inflammatory responses. It inhibits the immune system and stops aberrant immunological reactions to allergens when administered topically. It lessens the skin's itchiness, redness, inflammation, and dryness that are caused by autoimmune skin diseases.
Safety information-
PREGNANCY
It is recommended to consult your doctor before taking it during pregnancy.
BREASTFEEDING
Avoid this medication during breastfeeding or use it after consulting the doctor.
LIVER
If you have any concerns about using this medicine in patients with liver impairment, please consult your doctor.
Talimus Ointment belongs to the class of drugs known as immunosuppressants. When your immune system perceives the new organ as an alien and assaults it, organ rejection occurs. This medication lowers your body's propensity to attack the transplanted organ by weakening your immunological system, which often fights infection. To increase the likelihood that your transplant procedure will be successful, it is often used in conjunction with other medications. Unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, you should keep taking the medication.
